Jars and Other Hardware Items
All jars have hydraulic & mechanical two-way operation: upward impact is delivered by a hydraulic unit, and downward impact - by a mechanical unit releasing a mechanical lock.

Coring
The fleet of (dual section design) coring samplers includes Security DBS 178/101 and UKRBI-127/80.

Options of Coring Services:
- Selection of isolated core using its own isolating agent;
- Selection of non-isolated core;
- Core diameters ranging from 67 to 110 mm.
Recovery Statistics and New Sites:
– In 2019 a total of 1,575.7 m was drilled together with core sampling. 1,536.47 m (97.51%) of core was recovered;
– In 2019 101.6 mm Ø core sampling operations were performed in Cuba in the Boca de Jaruco field. The drilled depth was 178.5 m; the recovery rate – 93.8%.

Equipment Upgrade Measures:
In 2020, we are planning to upgrade the existing fleet of core samplers and acquire new two-section design ones. Core samplers of all diameters come complete with a counter-locking mechanism.
Workshops and Bases
PetroEngineering ISC's service support facilities based in Kogalym (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area) and in Osa (Perm region) are provided with all equipment and measuring tools required to deliver a complete range of maintenance services for DDM, turbodrills, jars and telemetry equipment. Over 80 repairs are carried out monthly in Kogalym. The facilities are operated by qualified personnel providing expert and prompt repairs and delivery of DDMs to the consumer. The facilities are supported by their own Defect Detection Laboratory.
Defect Detection Laboratory
The long-standing review of the working experience with contractors and equipment suppliers has uncovered the need for tightening the quality control. Therefore, in 2016, PetroEngineering ISC set up its own nondestructive testing laboratory.

Incoming control enables the early detection of any issues with components, thus improving the quality of proprietary equipment. The proprietary laboratory is instrumental in minimizing the risk of equipment breaking down during operation resulting from metal fatigue degradation.
